USB Drive Data Recovery Software?
I copied a whole "my pictures" directory onto USB drive and when I went to put them back onto the friend's laptop something went wrong with the USB port as a window popped up on the laptop saying that there had been a problem attempting to install the device and after that happened I can no longer get the drive recognized on the laptop.
When I plug it into my desktop I can see it but the directory that I placed on it says 0 files yet when I check the free space on that drive is shows 6GB as used which is about right.
I'm hoping that I can get those files back if at all possible.

USB Drive Data Recovery Software
Nope only thing it shows is cd/rw disk drive..I went into device manager ..disk drives and it shows the hard drive..did properties and had to do a populate and it showed this...Partition style..MBRMaster Boot Record..capacity 381552MB.
I wonder if i should just do a whole new reload of OS and see what happens..??

Shut down your PC, unplug your USB drive, restart your PC and plug your USB drive back in. You should be able to see your files with Explorer if the drive has no physical damage. Try USB drive in another PC. You may need to use recovery software.
